Phil Gwilliam is a North West-based actor with more than 25 years’ experience across stage, screen and studio. His recent screen work includes the feature films Semolina Pilchard, Enter the Furnace and Wings, together with the 2026 short films Global Warning and Standing Tall, made for Andy Reid MBE’s Standing Tall Foundation.
Phil won Best Actor at the 2026 Leverhulme Drama Festival for his performance as Dr Lennon in Killing Time. He is often cast as grounded Northern men, fathers, officials, detectives, witnesses, suspects and men under pressure, with a natural fit for contemporary British drama, crime, thriller and social realism.
As a voice actor and presenter, he works across commercial, corporate and character-led projects. Since 2022, he has delivered live Betfred broadcasts five times a day, bringing precision and calm delivery to every session.
Phil also writes for screen and for readers, with stories rooted in North West life and the emotional details that stay with people. His short screenplay The Last Tackle was shortlisted for the UK Film Festival’s 2025/26 10 Minute Screenplay Competition.
